A short video hopefully conveying the excitement of catching The Picasso Century.

Having forgotten its closing date, I noticed a poster in a shop in Ballarat. Panic!

The next day I rushed to Melbourne on the train. It was totally worth it, a huge collection of the master’s works from all of his periods. Accompanying the paintings were sculptures, ceramics as well as paintings and works from contempories, heros, wives and lovers.

To set his painting life in context there were huge video screens showing, for example, footage from the Spanish Civil War and photos showing how his masterpiece Guernica was designed and painted.

But what impressed most was his fecundity. He painted everyday of his life I imagine. I need to learn from Picasso.
